Volcanos, in case you can't tell.

Last week one day while Will was at school Dane and I drew matching volcano pictures and hung them up on the bulletin board.  Over the weekend Will drew one too. He wanted to add his version :)  cutie.

11th Annual

We went on our 11th annual bowling excursion today and for the first time took the boys with us - they had a blast.  Also, Terri and Mike were watching Landon and Payton so they came as well.  We had a lot of fun, and here is Dane's game face.  We combine our scores with Stacy and Matt's, to tally whether girls or boys win. (As we did 10 years ago, the first night we met)
The overall count stands:
Boys -6
Girls -5

A sweet take-5.

Brothers..

95% of the time the boys are best friends.  They play so well together: Legos, forts, weapons of some sort and cars are some of their favorites in the winter when they don't play outside as much.  I often hear them playing and saying things like "buddy! Come on"  "Buddy, look at this!" They even have a "call" for each other, like a bird call: CaCawwww!   It's really precious.

Recently though, Will has enjoyed playing a new game called Annoy Brother in Creative Ways.  It begins with Will being in a feisty mood, a look of mischief on his face and then it goes something like this...

Dane: "Will, stop!"

Dane: "WILL, STOP!"

Me, shouting downstairs: "Will, stop whatever you're doing!"

Will: "I'm not touching him!"

Dane: "He won't stop smiling at me!!!"

Dane: (screaming bloody murder) "STOP SMILING AT MEEEEEEE!"

Merry Christmas...

...to me!  My Christmas present is here!  When I was in Florida in November we were in a furniture store and I fell in love with this chair.  I took a pic of it, I have no idea why, and it just so happened that a month later we had reason to buy a new chair.  We tracked it down, and viola!

The reason we needed a chair is because we recently changed around the downstairs,  we took out the boys' fort, moved the TV and futon and table down to where the fort had been. It all around looks much better, and will be much more functional for the whole family. But the problem...was that we moved the sitting area away from our fireplace which we JUST got working. So, now I have an awesome new chair to sit in and read by the fire. Thanks honey!
