We are dog sitting for my mom and Chuck's dog, Brinkley, until they get
back from Michigan. She just turned a year old so its been an adjustment
having a puppy in the house again. But she's really sweet and very
well behaved. Will is in love. He is so cute with her, and they are
pretty much connected at the hip. Will calls her to follow him
everywhere and she happily trots along behind him.
Hanging out together at the Shop.
Brinkley is a hunting dog. She quickly discovered poor Benny. She has pointed him twice (not good news, Ben). She just sits at the back door and stares, claws and howls at him. I had moved him to the other side of the deck and kept him locked in his cage so she couldn't see him (he usually has free roam), but the other day it was so hot I let Benny out of his cage to hop around and cool off. Of course he decided to lay right in front of the door. Brinkley couldn't contain herself and went wild. So I moved poor Benny into the garage where it's a little cooler for him and also so Brinkley doesn't jump out of her skin.
At one point she was sitting
at the back door, staring at Benny and she was so excited she was shaking. Will thought she was cold
so he got a blanket and snuggled up with her.
Of course they do their morning business together.
