Dane is such a sweet and tender-hearted little boy. He cares about others and (usually) does the right, kind thing. He's mentally tough. He's usually the kid tagging behind the big kids, since he's often with his big brother and his friends. He's so smart. He's doing so great in school. Each 9 weeks he's received a "ribbon kid" award, which in kindergarten means that he's overall doing a great job academically and behaviorally. Only a few kids in his class receive the award. Lately he's even been learning some of his brothers second grade spelling words! This week he learned "noisy." For a long time he's joined in when Will is reading, adding in a word here or there. He loves soccer and basketball. Loves his brother, and is also very good at pushing his brother's buttons.
He is a good eater- loves meat of any kind which makes his Daddy proud. And nachos, which makes his Momma proud. He's usually up for trying new things.
He is so funny. He says the funniest things and making people laugh just comes naturally to him.
He is a slow waker in the mornings and needs some time to wake up before doing much or eating anything. (Learning this sooner could have saved us some ugly mornings!)
Dane is such a precious soul. If I loved him any more I'm pretty sure my heart would explode out of my chest.
Luke and I got him a watch for his birthday when we were in Vegas. Love Swatch Watch! He's had fun and done a great job learning how to tell time with a watch with hands (not digital).
He had his birthday party at Sky Zone which he was SO excited about.
Will begged to decorate his cake. :)
With some birthday money we let him buy a toy he's been wanting forever, Twister Terrain, which is supposed to move forward, backward, or sideways on land and water. We have yet to try it on water, but have big plans to this summer.
