Will's Friends
Being pregnant and having a baby is a crazy experience. You can't fully prepare for it since you have NO idea what to expect. Even though sometimes I thought I did because of all the reading I did, I didn't. I was fortunate enough to go through the entire experience with two of my close friends from college, Mandy and Kelly. I met both of them our freshman year at IU - we lived on the same floor in good ol Foster Magee. We lived together off and on over the next 3 years. Since our little ones were born we try to get together once every month or two (or three...) and all the kids have so much fun playing together. Mandy's son Jackson was born in March, Will was born in June, and Kelly's daughter Corrinne was born just 10 days after Will. Kelly also has a daughter Lydia who is 4. Last Friday was one of our get-togethers and as usual everyone had a great time. And purely by the grace of God we actually got them all to sit next to one another and get a picture without one of them throwing a full-on tantrum.

"Zoo" Adventure
I have been really anxious to start getting our money's worth out of our zoo pass this year. I invited my friend Mandy and her son Jackson, who is Will's age, to make a trip with us last Friday. I was so excited for our day with them and we even had great weather. We pulled up to the entrance to find out that it was the one day of the year that the zoo was closed. They were holding their main fundraising event, Zoobilation, that evening. The ONE day?

The butterfly exhibit was still open along with the gardens, which we walked through. Will and Jackson each clung to their footballs as they explored this part of the zoo (which in all honesty we probably wouldn't have even visited if the rest had been open).

After our short time there, we decided to head to Plainfield where we found a great park and let the boys run themselves ragged. We had a picnic lunch there and ended up having a great day! Will and Jackson had so much fun playing together. And now we still have that day at the zoo together to look forward to.
