Will Bedtime Convo

Oh my goodness bedtime is such a sweet time with the boys. Tonight, entertaining!
I was talking with Will. He had gotten a nasty bite on his arm a couple of days ago. I asked him how it was feeling and he said OK. He said "do you think it was a mosquito?". I said no, that was no mosquito bite. Then he said "there was a spider on my hand when I went to the store with daddy!" I said oh there was? He said yes! It was on my hand and I flicked it off. I said well maybe that was the one? He said yes it was just like this spider on Hulk Smash it had purple stripes and flames...ummm

Then we continued talking about how much we love each other. Ex: I love you more than to the sun and then around the universe then to Arizona and back. Going back and forth. Then he says I love you and I really miss Benny (our recently deceased bunny). I said I know I do too honey. Then he said well he's up with God so it will be a long time before I see him and you will get to see him first. I said yes, I probably will, but if you tell God how much you love and miss Benny then I bet he will tell Benny for you.  His jaw dropped and he got this look of amazement on his face and said with all this excitement "God speaks BUNNY???"

My sweet boys. My life.

Fur babies.  They tolerate each other. Rather, Kramer (left) tolerates Missy.

Tonight they were cutting down the grass to bale into hay. The boys were keeping a close eye on the operation.

Daneism

Dane just got a book, sat down on the fouton and said "I'm probably going to read this book and relax."

Sharon told me that when the boys were with them this past weekend Dane went over to my dad and said "I have good news and bad news which do you want to hear first?" My dad said well I guess the bad.  Dane smiled and said there's no bad news!

3 years old

Indians

A couple of weeks ago I went to our Farmer's Market specifically to get grass fed pork sausage.  (random, I know)  Anyway, I found the correct booth, bought the sausage and looked down to see a photo album.  I looked at the picture of the goats and asked the guy working there if they had goats too.  He said yes, and we started talking about all the animals they have on their farm as I was flipping through the photo album.  After about 10 pages I flipped a page and there were 4 Indianapolis Indians tickets lying there.  He said "Well since you just flipped that page you just won 4 Indians tickets!"  How fun!!!

So tonight was the night of the game.  Unfortunately Luke couldn't get home in time to go so I took the boys myself.  The seats were great!  About 10 rows up just behind the net and home plate.  It was so much fun!

The conversations leading up to the arrival and the trip up were the best.  They had a little bit of a hard time understanding exactly where we were going.  They've been to their 10 year old cousin Landon's baseball game before, and both boys said in the days leading up to today that they didn't want to go to the Indians game if Landon wasn't playing.

Will on the drive there: "Are we going to Lucas Oil?"  Chanting: "Go IU! Go IU!"  "I just saw the Pacers!"  At the game: "How many points do we have?  Who are we again?"
Dane as we are walking up to the gate:  "We're going to see a movie!  A movie Will!"

Despite our fantastic seats, of course their favorite part was heading out to the outfield grassy area to run around.

I knew Victory Field was an impressive ballpark, but we will definitely be going again.  It was so nice, not overcrowded and clean.  Looking forward to going back!

First day of Kindergarten summer school today!  This was the only pic i got, as we just dropped off in a line. But look at that big boy walking so confidently up to his new classmates. So proud.
I'm so anxious to hear how it went when I pick him up at 11:30 today!!

ps: pic is a bit stretched bc I had to edit it and zoom in.

Daneism

At times when Dane is in trouble or when we are trying to get his attention we will use his first and middle name: Dane Lucas. Today he was trying to get my attention and he said Mommy Lucas!  :)
