Love

One of the benefits of living in the country (among many) is that I can be a little bit more relaxed about the boys being outside and me not having to be right there with them.  There is no traffic on our road (except the farmers, who are family friends) and I have a clear view of our front yard from the kitchen and family room. (although they usually play in the back)  In the mornings I can let Will stand in the driveway, or just off of it, waiting for the bus and I don't worry.  I keep a close eye on him from the kitchen but usually I'm finishing up getting myself and Dane ready to run out the door as soon as Will gets on the bus.  Lately I've been telling Rosco to go and wait with Will until the bus comes.  I swear that dog understands what I'm asking of him.  He will wait right beside Will and then when the bus pulls up he runs back to the house.  It is so sweet.  Rosco is amazing.  What a GOOD boy.  (they had no idea I was taking these pictures - they're really that sweet)

Dane just came in and told me Oxy Clean makes things clean and shiny!  When I looked at him like ...what...? He nodded his head and with raised eyebrows said it really does!

Annie Mavis Payton

Annie went to Michigan with us over spring break.  Sweet Annie.  She's so precious and such a good girl.  The only thing is that she has some orthadontial (sp?) issues.   Others have said she would benefit from braces...I think she's beautiful just the way she is.

That darn tooth gets stuck sometimes..

Annie and Nana having a serious conversation.  (not sure how she got away with sitting on that chair long enough for me to get a photo)

Will and Annabelle and their underbites.

Dane.

Dane has been cracking me up.

Last night I told the boys to go downstairs and change into their jammies.  I went downstairs to take some towels into their bathroom and he was standing, naked, in the doorway to his bedroom and said very excitedly "I have big news!"
ps: his big news was that his wart on his foot that we have been trying to get rid of seems to have gone away finally:)

We were out running errands and he decided to burst into song.  Loudly, he began singing "BELLS ARE RINGING, BELLS ARE RINGING JESUS IS BORN, JESUS IS BORN"

Danisms 040814

Today Dane and I were at the store and we saw a woman who had her three children with her. The youngest, a little boy about 1, was riding in the cart and clearly had a sunburn on his little face. We walk by them and Dane takes notice, stares for a while, and I knew.   I just knew a comment was coming.  As they pass he says very loudly "MOM!  Why is that little man's face so red?"

Tonight they were playing downstairs while I cooked dinner.  Normally I still serve their dinner on kids plates that have sections. They don't like their food to touch and it just makes my life a little bit easier.  Tonight our dinner just made sense to serve on big plates. Baked chicken, corn on the cob, and salad.  I call them up for dinner and Dane says "We're eating on human plates tonight?"

Yay For Outside Play!

Today the boys were playing in what's left of Lake Payton

Sweet Boys

The boys were playing outside and I was inside paying some bills. I heard a knock at the front door and knew nobody was here (I can see any cars that drive past) so I was curious. . I opened the door and my two little loves were standing there with their arms outstretched and full of dandelions. :)
