Will and Dane found a message in a bottle floating up to shore! The contents were a bit disappointing, as it was just a page from a coloring book with some words we couldn't really make sense of, but it was super fun nonetheless. We decided to keep it going. The boys each drew a picture and signed their names. I wrote a note telling of the bottle's story and included my email address and how we had some friends (George and Cyndy Mikulyuk) who were taking a ship across Lake Michigan to Wisconsin and were going to drop it off for us in the middle of Lake Michigan. Dane also included a dime. :)
Nana to the rescue to carefully remove the fragile contents.
George and Cyndy dropping our new and improved message in a bottle into Lake Michigan about the Michigan/Wisconsin state line. We look forward to seeing where it ends up! Hopefully not at the bottom of the lake. Thanks George and Cyndy!!
Will and I went kayaking a couple of times. You can see how far off shore we are here - a long way! - and I could still see the bottom. It never gets old to me how amazingly clear the water is.
Boys. Will trying to surf/stand on the kayak while Dane pushes him. :)
One afternoon I took the boys to A.J.'s to ride go-carts and play mini-golf. Fun day! Will was old enough this year to drive his own. He did great!
Had to get some ice cream after!
My little sweetie.
Reesy liked the beach too!
