We've been talking about it forever, and I knew it would probably happen but I had started to lose my excitement that it would happen any time soon. But! The time is here! We close on the house swap/remodel today! In just a couple of hours we will close and then the remodeling will begin. Actually, Zach is already there today starting on the brick work. Tomorrow the demo crew will start to dig out the new stairway to the downstairs to clean out the bottom floor and start on the new garage. Luke is very excited that he gets to raise his family on the farm, just like he was able to grow up here. (I'm really excited as well, he just told me to write that sentence :)
Luke and I have been working so hard, literally spending all of our spare time down at Sonny's packing and getting the shop ready for him to move into. This past weekend we worked especially hard. On Saturday my mom came here to watch the boys and yesterday Sandy was here watching them. It was so nice to be able to work hard and not have to worry about watching them, but to know that they were being well taken care was very nice. Terri has been out of town for the last week but before she left she helped pack and also helped get the shop ready - she painted the floors. All of our hard work has paid off and we are ready to start this long anticipated project!
